The helical pile is a deep foundation that transfers the structural load to a competent soil stratum. The helical pile consists of a small diameter pipe. The lead end includes series of welded helical plates that cut into the soils and transfer the structural load through end bearing. Multiple plates can be used to increase the design loads. The pile is installed using rotary methods and can achieve design loads of up to 250 tons. This pile type produces no spoils and achieves immediate support after installation. This pile type can be used in new construction as well as existing construction.
